About…
I Want to Sell My Car
Branding:
I Want to Sell My Car | AKA: IWanttoSellMyCar.

History:
Founded by David Merifield in 2009 and so they have been active for a good while now.

Network:
Nationwide visits can be arranged at your home or business. Their working hours are Monday to Friday (9am/6pm). It would have been expected to see weekend coverage since the brand owner (Motorseeker) does have a dealership in Chesterfield that is open 7 days a week.

Online:
www.iwanttosellmycar.co.uk.

Owner:
Part of Motorseeker UK Ltd.

Profile:
This car buying service is relatively well known, but less popular than expected considering the many years that they have been active. A lack of advertising appears to have been what has been holding them back. Their Motorseeker dealership actually received some screen time on BBC on “Right On The Money: Live”. They were likely a little disappointed that this went out on a Friday morning between 9.15am and 10am. The most notable thing to say about this company is that their Review Centre rating (at 98%) is the highest sector score across the 3 major review portals.

The Process:
To qualify your vehicle must be no older than 8 years old and have not surpassed 70k miles. If this is fine then you’ll need to head over to www.iwanttosellmycar.co.uk that is a single page, but they do cram all of the essentials on to it. They don’t provide instant quotes since their aim is to provide more accurate valuations by phone once staff have checked over the details. This isn’t ideal since we have no idea just how well they compare, but with a more thorough assessment you aren’t likely to see price knockdowns. The stock that they do buy doesn’t appear to replenish their dealership since this only has around 50 vehicles stocked that typically covers 4×4, prestige and sport models.

The Service Fees and Payouts:
The price offered is what is received with no admin or transfer fees to worry about. The fast payment should reach your bank account before the rep leaves.
